Our approach

We want Collective Learning to be usable by everyone, including people who rely on assistive technology. We design and build against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 level AA and treat accessibility as part of our definition of done, not an afterthought.

What is in place today

  • keyboard operability with visible focus indicators on interactive elements;
  • respect for reduced-motion preferences in animated interfaces;
  • colour contrast targets of at least 4.5:1 for body text;
  • status information conveyed by text and icons, never colour alone;
  • semantic headings, landmarks, and a skip-to-content link;
  • text alternatives for images and titled embedded media.

Parts of the platform are still being improved, and we have not yet completed an independent conformance audit. We prioritise accessibility fixes when issues are reported.
